Rochester Stadium was a greyhound racing track in Rochester, Kent. The stadium opened in 1936 and the track was situated at the Greater London Stadium on City Way in Rochester. Racing commenced on 1 June. It became the 55th licensed track in 1936. In 1978 John McCririck a ''Sporting Life'' journalist took the lead in covering the Rochester greyhound coup that ended in a legal battle and it was not until 1985 that a judge agreed that bookmakers were not liable to pay out on the case. Just one year later, in 1979, Rochester Stadium closed in miserable circumstances.
